Guilty Crown * spoiler free review *

The anime has a classic shounen setting, with our avg schoolboy gets tremendous power and has to save the world, from the apocalypse. 

But the power of the protagonist is that he can draw out manifestations of peoples heart, or “voids”, voids could be anything, a material, a weapon, an item, anything, which represent the person's qualities and personality. And the reason for their voids is explained pretty well in the anime. 

The protagonist joins a resistance group who wish to overthrow the military force ruling

the nation. Now coming to major points.

Firstly yes the protagonist takes time to finally understand what is happening, and whimpers out in the start, but mans up soon enough. It is good, and well-presented character development, at least of the protagonist which shows who he was when it started vs who he “had” to be in the middle, and who he became towards the end. So good character development.

The story, however, builds up to something big, something big happens but the way it is presented was pretty lame, to be honest, I had expectations because if you are planning to do something such as destroying all of humanity, u better present it in the right manner, or it turns out as a major fail. Something similar happened here. Quite some cliché moments too, some characters were pretty much left unexplained, why are they doing this, what do they want, etc. But not many plot holes though, most of the questions were answered by the end. 

It was quite predictable, some things weren’t but they didn't come as a very big shock or anything, so story-wise it was okayish, not very outstanding.

Secondly, the best thing about this anime was its ost, songs, op, ed, battle music all of these were spot on, nothing to complain here, it was beautiful and perfect. The animation was good for a seasonal anime, pretty well done, not gonna complain there, the CGI was also very well done, didn’t seem weird it looked good instead. 

the major reason I saw this was because it had a lot of my favourite voice actors, and it had good music. So I got what I wanted, but the story wasn’t so good that it would make me love it otherwise. So the story ends in 22eps, pretty good chill anime if u wanna watch, don't keep a lot of expectations, you might enjoy this, don’t make it a priority tho. It's binge-able.
